Last month, Margaret Mary and Tony tied the knot in the magnificent Art Deco Salerno Suite at the Ingliston Country Club, Bishopton. I joined Margaret Mary and her bridesmaids while they had their hair and make-up done, then headed over to one of the cosy wooden lodges on the site to capture all the bride’s details, from her beautiful dress to her shoes, jewellery and keepsakes from her daughters. Margaret Mary and the bridesmaids calmed their nerves with glasses of champagne and the adorable wee flower girl, Charlie, posed for a few pictures.
The ceremony was fantastic. Margaret Mary and Tony looked so happy and the bride’s choir sang from the back of the room. The couple said their vows, exchanged rings, signed the register then headed downstairs to greet their guests. Margaret Mary had requested mostly natural images, so I whisked the couple away only for a few minutes for some pictures in the country club grounds and in the back seat of the vintage wedding car, before they returned to the Salerno Suite to join the choir on the balcony.
Before long, it was time for the guests to take their seats for the wedding breakfast then the bride and groom cut their beautiful cake. There were lots of laughs during the speeches and, in a break from the tradition, the bride took the microphone and said a few words too. It was a lovely bright and warm day, so everyone headed outdoors to enjoy the evening sunshine before the first dance, with the music provided by Scottish wedding and function band, Slinky, at the end of a truly brilliant wedding.
Congratulations Margaret Mary and Tony!
