Carole and Chris travelled north from Manchester with their loved ones to get married at the Murrayshall Country House Hotel by Scone, Perth, a few days after Christmas. I began the day by covering the latter stages of the bridal preparations, capturing the dress, shoes, jewellery etc. while Carole and her bridesmaids had their hair and make up done. The guests gathered in the ceremony room which was lovely and cosy with an open fire providing warmth and atmosphere. Moira, the registrar, conducted a civil ceremony with lots of personal touches. I love shooting from the front and capturing all the emotions.
After the ceremony, I captured a number of group photos outdoors; thankfully it was dry and fairly mild for the time of year! I took some relaxed couple shots of Carole and Chris, outdoors overlooking the golf course and indoors by the Christmas tree, then they celebrated with their guests over drinks and canapés. The function suite was beautifully decorated for the wedding breakfast, with each of the tables named after a famous Scottish golf course. The guests took their seats then the bride and groom cut their cake before the speeches and meal got underway.
Congratulations Chris and Carole and thank you for your kind words!
“Karen was our photographer for our wedding over the Christmas period this year. From booking, discussing photos, through to the day itself, Karen could not have been more professional and a delight to work with. We both enjoyed her style and understanding, especially as I had recently broken my ankle and could not stand for long for photos. The pictures were exactly as we wished and both our families love the results. I could not recommend Karen highly enough. Thank you for being part of our day.” – Chris and Carole
