Gwen and Steve were seriously lucky with the weather on their wedding day! A few days before the wedding, Gwen, Steve and their kids travelled over from Lewis on the early morning ferry and we met for coffee in Dingwall amidst torrential rain! Amazingly, the sun came out for their special day; summer had finally arrived!
Gwen and her bridesmaids and flower girls arrived at the Waterside Hotel in style with the roof down on Gwen’s dad’s convertible! Diane Morrison conducted a really personal humanist ceremony, telling the story of Gwen and Steve’s relationship. After exchanging rings and signing the marriage register, Gwen, Steve and their kids mixed sand from three different beaches, creating a beautiful and symbolic memento from their wedding.
The bride and groom and their guests enjoyed drinks and canapés, then the group photographs got underway in the garden of the Waterside Hotel. I drove Gwen and Steve along to Ness Islands for their couple shots. We managed to get out of the bright sunshine and take advantage of some of the lovely locations on the islands. Back at the hotel, Gwen and Steve cut their cake and took their seats for the meal.
Here are a few memories from Gwen and Steve’s special day. Congratulations to you both!
