“We were delighted to have Karen photograph our wedding last month. Karen made the whole process simple and was an absolute pleasure to work with. On the day we were so relaxed and happy with the way Karen worked, and the photos came out beautifully. Can’t recommend enough and would just like to say thanks for all you’ve done.”
I was back at the Muthu Newton Hotel in Nairn recently for the wedding of Cheryl and Phil. The couple and most of their guests had traveled north from England and so we hadn’t actually met in person until the day of the wedding! We’d had a video call on Skype and exchanged a bunch of emails, so I felt like I knew Cheryl and Phil by the time their big day rolled around.
The couple booked my mini package, so I caught the end of the bridal preparations before the ceremony and called it a day at the end of the speeches.
Cheryl and Phil’s civil ceremony, held in the hotel’s chapel, was an emotional one with laughter and more than a few tears. There were a lot of young children at the wedding, but they were so well behaved during the proceedings and hardly made a peep!
I did the group photographs on the steps at the hotel entrance then let Cheryl and Phil have a breather before their couple shots!
For Cheryl and Phil’s couple shots, we headed into the grounds, using some mature trees as a lovely background, before taking a short walk to say hello to the resident Highland cows!
The suite was beautifully decorated with Cheryl and Phil’s chosen colour scheme and American football theme!
All too soon, it was time for Cheryl and Phil and their guests to take their seats. The speeches were excellent and provided another opportunity for lots of natural shots.
Cheryl and Phil then cut their cake, which was totally unique: a typical wedding cake on the front, but with an American football theme on the back!
Congratulations to you both!
